Selangor FC continues the fight in the 2025/26 Shopee Cup™ competition as hosts against Tampines Rovers FC at the MBPJ Stadium, Kelana Jaya at 9pm.

Playing for the first time in the Shopee Cup competition, Selangor FC has been drawn in Group A with big names such as Buriram United F.C., Tampines Rovers FC, Cebu FC, Công An Hà Ni FC and BG Pathum United F.C.

According to Katsuhito Kinoshi, Head Coach of Selangor FC, this tournament is the best opportunity for the team to continue to grow and give us the opportunity to play better to get the victory.

"The team has been preparing for tonight's match by making full use of the time available. The tournament provides a good opportunity for the team to put ourselves in the best position because we are facing big name teams across ASEAN. Past results are not important for now, our focus is only to secure this match, and try to give our best and get the best result for the club and the fans," he explained.

As for the players' availability, Willian Lira and Mukhairi Ajmal were unable to play due to their knee and hamstring injuries. Apart from them, the Red Giants players are ready to play for the second match of the 2025/26 Shopee Cup ™ season.
